Description
An evergreen succulent alpine producing rosettes of unusual foliage and stems of star-shaped flowers
these are great evergreen succulents form dense rosettes of foliage which melt together to create a living carpet. Sempervivum come in a fabulous range of colours, with some even covered in spidery webbing. In summer, mature rosettes may produce panicles of star-shaped flowers. Although individual rosettes die after flowering, they are swiftly replaced by small offsets which quickly fill the gap. More commonly known as Houseleeks, these hardy perennials are extremely drought tolerant – perfect for planting in wall crevices, rockeries and alpine troughs.
