Description
A pretty creeping plant, with numerous, bright yellow flowers like buttons
Brass Buttons is a very pretty creeping plant that can be grown as an annual or short-lived perennial in UK gardens. It features button-like yellow flowers in summer (June to August) which pop us above the water. Brass Buttons spread quickly making it perfect for pond edges, bog gardens, or waterlogged areas. Its creeping habit stabilises soil and provides shelter for amphibians and emerging pond wildlife. It thrives in full sun to partial shade in moist or wet soil. This plant is a wonderful seasonal addition to enhance both the aesthetic and ecological value of your pond.
Attracts pollinators: The plant’s yellow button-like flowers are a source of nectar and pollen for bees and butterflies.
