Oregano

Description

Oregano is a wonderful culinary herb and is really easy to grow. Oregano loves being in the sun. It prefers light, free-draining soil like other herbs from the Med and hates wet soggy roots, especially in winter.  Oregano will be really happy growing in a pot on a sunny windowsill until it needs potting on.

Any  kitchen garden is going to need a few oregano plants, in pots or containers, at the front of borders.

Culinary Use: add to Pizza & Pasta, Marinades & Rubs, Roasts & Stews, Breads, Sauces & Dressings

Position: love full Sun, on well-drained soil, ideal for tubs and pots 

Flowering: Late Summer

Height: 40cm (16”)

Planting: Water well before planting and until well established, plant in warm well drained soil

Care: Feed through the growing season
