Description
Pilularia globulfera commonly known as Peppergrass has is a small oxygenating marginal plant with slender, thread like stems that grow in dense clusters, forming a dense carpet of foliage making it a great habitat for small amphibians and aquatic creatures
Peppergrass have small round seed capsules that attract a range of small creatures, although not thought of as a pollinator, it adds to the biodiversity by offering shelter to insects
9cm pot
Position: thrives in full Sun or Part Shade, but requires moist or waterlogged soil, its is great for planting along the edge of pond/streams or in bog gardens
Flowering: June to August
Height Above Water: 10-15 cm
Height below Water: 0-30cm
while this oxygenating plant requires little maintenance, it might need thinning at some time
9cm pond plants should be placed no deeper than 1/3 maximum recommended planting depth to allow the plants to establish.
